We're in the planning stage—embedding ourselves in the community to get familiar with the important work being done by organizations like La Paz, Chattanooga Free Store, Mutual Aid Resource Library, Indigenous Peoples Coalition, Barking Legs Theater, Seed Theatre, Association For Visual Arts, and Chattanooga Pride. Part of this process means volunteering with these groups and reaching out to begin productive conversations.
COLTN has a planning meeting in mid-November, where we'll discuss how we move forward. Before that, we're getting to know each other at a cookout at a member's house (a duplex, technically).
Patience is essential—especially when working with people who are already working their hardest in more ways than we know. We appreciate all the good people giving it their best as we seek to make this community a more habitable place.
